ABOUT

Hi, my name is Alyssa Friedberg and I am the founder of Chicago Child Life Consulting (CCLC). I am a Certified Child Life Specialist and Certified Child and Adolescent Grief Counselor. Since 2016, I have worked at many Chicagoland area hospitals, specifically in Pediatric Intensive Care Units and with the hematology and oncology populations. During this time, I noticed the need for child life services in the community, and started CCLC to support organizations and families that might not otherwise have access to this type of support. 

I am passionate about helping children and families navigate new healthcare challenges and love watching children learn new coping skills to help them thrive. In addition to running CCLC, I work as a team member at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital on their child life team.
